Pike Lake is over 200 acres and is the deepest lake in Iron County with a maximum depth of 90 feet. The calmness of the lake will allow immediate relaxation and peacefulness for your whole group.
Our private boat launch is accessible to guests so you can get your boat in the water quickly and easily without the stress of searching for a boat launch. 4wd is highly recommended. With water access just a couple feet away, it is perfect for fishing, watching sunrises/sunsets, kayaking down the many rivers and swimming by the sandy beach.

THE FALCON RETREAT was originally built by a lumber baron in 1897. It is a 2-story home with approximately 2600 sq ft. The home sits on 1.5 acres of land, where guests can enjoy 400 ft. of sandy bottomed, crystal clear shoreline. With many new updates, the home has heating and air conditioning with an Ecobee thermostat system.
MAIN FLOOR: (Living room, kitchen, deck, porch, laundry room, master bedroom ensuite, queen bedroom, twin/full bunkroom, and 1 full bath): The main floor has a fully equipped kitchen with newer appliances, a large dining area, kitchen island and direct access to the deck. Patio table on the deck is brand new. The living room is original to our 1897 historic home. This is the heart of the home and you will be in awe from the moment you step into this room. It features a wood burning fireplace, a flat panel TV and sliding door access to the porch, that is a perfect place to sit in the morning for early coffee or to watch friends/family playing out on the lake.
MASTER BEDROOM: The main floor master bedroom suite (approximately 240 sq. ft.) includes a king bed, private bath, an armoire with a tv and 2 large windows showing excellent views of the lake. This bedroom can accommodate a Pack-n-Play, if needed.
QUEEN ROOM: The main floor queen room is original to this log home and has a comfortable bed with built in private sink, that is historical to many old houses. It is located just behind the living room, by the stairs to the second floor.
FULL/TWIN BUNKROOM: The main floor twin over full, cozy bunkroom is original to this log home and has a private sink as well. This room is behind the living room, next to the porch.
MAIN FLOOR BATHROOM: The main floor bathroom is spacious and bright. It has a walk-in shower with a seat, a large vanity with plenty of counter space and a window for natural lighting. It is located near the living room.
UPPER LEVEL KING BEDROOM: The upper-level bedroom is original to this log home and has a comfortable king bed, a large built in dresser and closet. It has a bookshelf with many books and desk space that could be used for eLearning. This bed can also be converted into 2 twin beds. The upstairs bathroom is located right next to the bedroom.
UPPER LEVEL BATHROOM: The upper level bathroom has a bath with a window looking out on the lake. This bathroom leads to a little nook perfect for small guests who could sit reading a book or look over the living room or lake.
LOWER LEVEL BUNK BED ROOM: The lower level bunk bed room has two queen over queen bunk beds that can accommodate a large group of siblings or cousins.
FISHING, DOCK, AND BOATING: There are 3 docks located on the shoreline. The fishing is excellent on this lake - Fish include trophy musky and walleye along with smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, panfish, northern pike, crappie and cisco. Yard has been sprayed for mosquitos for you to enjoy our property.
LOCATION: Falcon Retreat is located on the southern shore of Pike Lake in Mercer, a few minutes from Highway 51. Following the driveway through the beautiful woods on Falcon Road, you are welcomed to this captivating property. You will be immediately captured by the view of the stunning lake!
ADVENTURES ABOUND: Main Street Mercer is just 4 miles away with great downtown shops, restaurants, grocery store, and post office. So relax and enjoy the lake, but make sure you take a quick trip to town to enjoy all it has to offer. Hiking, Snowmobile and ATV trails are all accessible while on your Northwoods adventure. Ironwood, MI is a 30 minute drive north on 51 and Minocqua/Woodruff is 40 min drive east on 51.
Looking for an adventure or a great destination to take pictures? Lake of the Falls is a beautiful waterfall that is only a couple minutes down the road!
Late spring/Early summer special rates--Check our availability. We have specials in May and early June (excluding holidays). Prices range from $450/night - $600/night with a minimum stay of 7 nights (check in & check out on Fridays). Check in after 4:00pm and check out before 10:00am. There is a $99 insurance protection plan that will be added once you start your booking process. This will give both parties extra protection and will cover up to $5,000 of accident coverage.
BOAT RENTAL: Please inquire for weekly Pontoon rental rate.
CLEANING: Falcon Retreat is very clean. The cabin is deep-cleaned after every use. All linens and towels are laundered prior to your stay.
PETS: We do not allow pets.
NON-SMOKING HOME: We do not allow smoking in the home.
WIFI: Free WIFI is available throughout the home.

BED & BATH: We provide bed and bath linens for your use. Each bathroom is supplied with tissue paper, toilet paper, and pump soap. A hair dryer is available in the linen closet. We provide body wash for the showers/tub. Please bring your own beach towels for lake use.
KITCHEN: We have sponges, dishcloths, hand towels, dish drying towels, 2 rolls of paper towels and dishwashing liquid/pods for dishwashing and dishwasher use. We also have an assortment of Ziploc bags, aluminum foil and wax paper. Garbage bags are provided. Cupboards to the left and right of the stove are stocked with everyday essentials like coffee filters, toothpicks, etc.
KITCHENWARE: We have a 1 cup Keurig coffee maker and Gevalia coffee maker and 2 insulated carafes. The kitchen is equipped with just about everything: full set of non stick cooking pans (including griddle pan), pie dishes, baking sheets, pizza pan, large baking pan for cooking 1 lb. of bacon in the oven, lasagna pan, roaster, crockpot, blender/food processor, hand held mixer, toaster oven, 4 slice toaster, knife set and multiple cutting boards. If you have a particular baking dish or small appliance that you use, check with us and we will let you know if we have it.
UTILITY/LAUNDRY: There is a large utility sink and spacious counter area. Front load washing machine and dryer are available for your use. A small amount of a liquid laundry detergent is provided. This room is accessible from the hallway and access to the basement is through this room.
OUTDOOR DECK: The raised deck spans the entire lake side of the home. There are 2 patio dining tables overlooking the lake for you to enjoy a meal while taking in the scenery.
PORCH: The porch is surrounded by screened-in windows and has many seating arrangements with a full view of the lake.
GRILL & DECK DINING: There is a brand new Weber gas grill with propane provided. We have table/chairs for dining on the deck.
WOOD FOR FIRES: We have an ample amount of wood for many cozy fires in both the indoor fireplace and the outdoor firepit.
